Chrysler Repair: 2.5L V-6: Has spark/fuel but no start, exhaust gas recirculation valve, 4 digit numbers

Question
this car has spark and fuel but still will not start when i try to start it and release the key it turns over a couple of time and lets out a little back fire ran well when I PARKED IT FOR THE WINTER

Answer
Hi Tim,
Try for fault codes using the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see the mileage reading change to show 4-digit numbers preceded by a P. Let me know what you get and we'll go from there.
The other possibility is an ajar exhaust gas recirculation valve (egr). If you spray some WD-40 on the stem of the valve where it enters the body of the valve and then move the stem via a screwdriver inserted in the slot on the valve stem, back and forth against spring action in one direction that tries to close it, then that will correct for a common no start problem.
