Chrysler Repair: engine overheat/oil film in coolant, cylinder head bolts, head gasket leak

Question
we have a pacifica 2006  and the oil come to the water container and radiator  why they happens ? no water in the oil sistem

Answer
Hi Tony,
This sounds like a head gasket leak on one or the other cylinder heads which allows oil to get across from an oil passage way into the coolant passageway or coolant to get into the water. The oil may start to look cloudy/milky soon. How much oil is appearing in the coolant? You may be able to re-torque the cylinder head bolts after loosening them one step and that has a chance of fixing things. Tell me which size (L) engine you have and I will see what you might try first before an expensive repair job.  It is also possible if the leak is small to use a sealant such as Bars Leak to eliminate the problem.
Can you tell me more about the history of the problem like when it began to overheat and what you did about it, and what happened next, etc.?
