Chrysler Repair: Coolant Fan 1995 Chrysler Concorde 3.3, 1995 chrysler concorde, chrysler concorde

Question
Hello Again Roland. Continuation from previous questions. Cooling fan was turning on and off with a sound in between..as soon as I started the car..making the interior lights dim on and off as well. You mentioned it could be the relay switch. I put in a new one and still same thing. I unplugged the fan and the noise went away that was going when it was trying to run..I assume the armature/bearings are going bad like you said before. My question is...is it ok too leave the fan unplugged for now? It seems to be drawing a lot of power from the car by turning on and off. I figured being cold outside and using the heat, that it would keep the temperature down without needing the fan. Please let me know. Thanks, Steve.

Answer
Hi Steve,
In the winter you may not need the fan, but watch the temperature gauge to be sure that you don't run close to the "H". Then replace it before warmer temperatures/air conditioning are called for when the fan will be needed.
