QUESTION: could you please tell me in detail were the tcm is located in a 2002 dodge neon?

ANSWER: first unless u have a p705 code  replacing the tcm more then likely wont fix the issue

REMOVAL
NOTE: If the Transmission Control Module (TCM) is being replaced with a new or replacement unit, the Pinion Factor and Quick Learn procedures must be performed. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES/TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE - STANDARD PROCEDURE) (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES/TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE - STANDARD PROCEDURE)

Disconnect battery negative cable.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Partially remove right front wheel splash shield.
Disconnect TCM 60-way connector (TCM 60-Way Connector).
Remove three (3) TCM bracket-to-rail screws and remove TCM/bracket assembly from vehicle (TCM/Bracket Assembly).
Remove four (4) bracket-to-TCM screws and remove bracket (TCM Bracket).
