Chrysler Repair: accessory power outlet, snap ring pliers, negative cable

I need to replace the upper front accessory power outlet in my wifes 2005 Town and Country. Can you provide suggestions as to accessing the outlet, and disconnecting the power leads? Thanks.

REMOVAL
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Note position of the retaining bosses (POWER OUTLET).
Using external snap ring pliers with 90 degree tips. Insert pliers with tips against bosses and squeeze forcing bosses out of base.
Pull out the base through mounting ring by gently rocking pliers.
Disconnect the base wires.
Remove light ring and disconnect wire.
