Chrysler Repair: 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager not starting, plymouth grand voyager, jumper wires

Question
"Yesterday I went to the store and came out to my van
starting but wouldn't stay started so I knew that my
computer needed to reset so I disconnected the battery and
waited...my wonderful man came to the rescue and pulled
fuses that he shouldn't have...the starter relay fuse and
the auto shutdown fuse...before he did this my van was
turning over and now nothing...I am so mad...what did he do
and how can I fix this?"

Answer
Hi Mandy,
I would put all the fuses back in, check to make sure they are not damaged (such as a subtle crack in the internal wire). The just remove fuse 28 at the rear of the box for maybe a half hour. Then put it back. Then do lock/unlock of the passenger door using the door key and observe whether the theft security alert bulb on the dash is extinguished. If so, try and then start it. If not, then I will give you a procedure that involves faking out the body controller using some resistors and jumper wires to simulate the disarming procedure that should be accomplished with the key lock technique but apparently is not being. Also check to see whether the starter relay clicks when a helper tries the start. If not, then the gear shift lever may be slightly off of the P or N position. And of course check that you hear the fuel pump run for about a second when you first turn the key to the 'run' position. It could be the battery connectiona are not good and tight.
