Chrysler Repair: Automatic Door Locks not effective: 99 minivan, amp fuse, fuse box

Question
QUESTION: Remote control only opens driver side door lock after it has been locked manually.  Driver and Passenger switches both make the relay "click" in the unlock position.  All door mechanisms react/click as if power is getting to them when you hit the lock and unlock switch on the remote control.  Locks do not lock after car speeds past 15 mph.
40 amp fuse in the Power Distribution Center is good. I tried disconnecting battery for 10 minutes to reset the system did not work.  Tried the same thing overnight, did not work.

ANSWER: You didn't mention which year/model so I can't be specific. But I wonder if the door locks might just need to be lubricated to make it easier for the lock motors to close them.

QUESTION: The van is a 1999 Chrysler Town & Country, 6 cyl, 3.8L engine, FWD.  Hint, it is not mechanical, it has to be electrical.

Answer
There is a separate lock and unlock relay, so I wonder if the contacts in one or the other are oxidized and not conducting well. Try switching the relays to see if the problem 'reverses'. The other possibility is that the 'positive temp coefficient' fuse-like device in slot #3 is dropping the voltage too much and should be replaced. You will find the relays in the junction (fuse) box under the dash and right above those two relays is the ptc #3.
The circuitry is evidentally good, but the current is not enough to do the job.
