Chrysler Repair: 00 chrysler voyager, 64.000 miles: red fluid leakage, chrysler minivan, chrysler voyager

Question
hey buddy my name is matt my chrysler minivan is leaking trans fluid and i just replaced the trans pan gasket and cant figur out where the fluid is coming from and it shifts hard when its cold out can u help me

Answer
Hi Matt,
You will have to wipe off the outside of the trans and then run it for a short while and the get under it to see where the new fluid is leaking from. I can't think of any other way to find it. But if it isn't coming from the trans pan gasket, the most likely other location is the seal at the front of the trans where the torque converter input shaft is located. If the fluid appears to be coming out of the bell housing where the torque converter is located, that would be the most likely reason.
