Chrysler Repair: 2008 Sebring Touring cnv: no ac/heater blower, blower motor resistor, fuse box

Question
Yesterday my air/heat worked fine. This morning nothing. At no level does anything come on. My nephew who is going through tech school looked at it and told me it was a blower motor which he could repair. Not to doubt him but...Sound correct?

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Summer,
My most recent manual, '06, finds their are 4 fuses that are involved with the ac/heater: 1,4,5,11 all in the fuse box behind the end-cap on the left end of the dash. I would suggest the your nephew look closely at those four fuses not only for being frankly blown but also if there could be a subtle crack in the internal wire of the switck. Onaly after that would I consider replacing the blower motor. Also, check to see if the blower will function on "high", as if that is the case the other speeds are missing because of a blown blower motor resistor block, not a blown motor.
