HOW CAN I FIND TOP DEAD CENTER ON #1 CYL
WITHOUT A DISTRIBATOR IM GETTING READY TO PULL
THE HEAD TO DO A VALVE JOB AND IM WORRIED
ABOUT TIMEING IT UPON FINISH

where IS THE DISTRIBUTOR ?
OK all you have to do is remove the spark plug and put your thumb on the hole #(1) and have some one tap the key -when
you hear your thumb pop or the air psi push your finger off
the piston is now up, and look at the timeing mark and it should be on the tdc mark , or when the head is off you will see the piston . than you can turn the engine by hand to bring the piston up.
