Chrysler Repair: thermostat for 2.5L V-6 engine, upper radiator hose, clock position

Question
trying to find a diagram for the location of the thermostat on a 1997 cirrus 2.5

Answer
Hi Cat,
I don't have a diagram in digital form so let me describe it. If you look under the coolant pressure cap and under the throttle body you will see a long horizontal manifold attached to the pipe that supports the filler cap. In that manifold you will see the thermostat housing which has a radiator hose that enters from the side, and three bolts that hold the housing to the manifold. Another way to find it would be to start at the upper radiator hose and follow it directly to the thermostat housing. Notice that the thermostat has a bleed hole which should be at the 12 o'clock position. The bolts are tightened to 14 foot-pounds.
