QUESTION: 1989 tc maserati-upper end has been redone turbo has been rebuilt the fuelpump replaced and fuel filter replaced. on acceleration it bogs down like it isn't getting enough gas. I don't know why.

ANSWER: Hi Charles,
Use the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the power loss light to see it begin to flash, pause, flash etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat the process to be sure of an accurate set of flash counts. Then write back and tell me the counts in order of appearance and we'll go from there.

Hi Charles,
The 12 means the battery was disconnected recently, the 55 verifies the code readout is complete. The 45 means boost limit exceeded on the turbo unit as seen by the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. There is a 4 page procedure in a '92 2.2L Turbo III manual that I have and which I can xerox copy and postal mail to you if you would like to give a try to solving why this is happening.
