Chrysler Repair: 93 Imperial power windows, chrysler imperial, turn signals

Question
Hi Roland, I own a 93 Chrysler Imperial and the passenger side front and rear window will not go down.  Driver's side works fine. Is the problem the relay and if so where is the relay panel? I can hear it with flashers and turn signals but can't find it. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Chris,
There are no window relays, just one circuit breaker that powers the system. So if some windows work, the breaker is closed. It either is bad contacts in the master switch for those windows, or the local switch contacts when in neutral are not making contact, or the motors in the doors are bad.
You can check at each local switch.  Verify that when it is unplugged that you have contact between pins 1 and 4, and between 2 and 5 when the switch is neutral. If that is the case then the window should work from the master. If not showing contact, clean the local contacts with circuit cleaner in a spray can.  If still not working and you have local contacts as described,  check master to be sure that 1 and 2 are grounded in neutral, and that one or the other of those go to +12 when you ask for right rear up or down. Similarly for right front check 6 and 7 of the master switch.
For local control, verify the yellow wire is hot, and that pin 3 connect to 5 when you seek down and that 3 connects to 1 when you seek up, assuming again that the neutral contacts described above are proven. If no action then the local motor is bad.
If those all check out, then the motors are bad in those doors.
