QUESTION: either way i lock the car with the control or switch it works just fine .. but when i try to unlock it with either them , it burns the power locks fuse

Answer
Hi Waite,
I suspect that one of the 4 door lock motors is binding up in the unlock direction. You could go to the body control module, under the dash on the left hand end (on the back side of the fuse box) and pull the 20-pin black plug (there are 5 plugs on the module). Then try jumping 12V to each of the following four pairs of wires, try it one way, then reverse the polarity so as to test in both direstions, until you find the one that won't work and also draws a lot of current (wire feel warm). You would probably do better to jump directly from the battery and just touch the second wire of each pair of wires for a moment so as not to overload your jumper wires: 4-10, 1-11, 3-13, 2-12. Putting 12v+ on the first wire and grounding the second wire will cause the door to lock. Reversing that polarity will cause it to unlock and one of those latter tests will reveal a lock motor that is bound up. Then remove the door panel and replace that lock motor. Please let me know how this works out.
