Chrysler Repair: 86 4-cyl no start, computer answer, hall effect sensor

Question
QUESTION: Do you know what would cause a 1986 La Baron to turn over but not start?  It's not the fuel pump or injector or computer.

ANSWER: Hi Sam
If you don't have spark, then I would expect the Hall effect sensor in the distributor is bad. So check for spark. If none, then measure for voltage between the gray and black/light blue wires of the distributor (with the ignition 'on', of course) while you turn the crankpulley bolt by hand. It should vary between 5 and 0.3V as you turn it. If not then the sensor has gone bad.

QUESTION: I have spark no fuel to throttle body

Answer
Hi Sam,
If you have spark, and fuel pump/pressure, and still no fuel output from the injector then either the injector has gone bad or the wires to it are open, or could you have run out of gas? Check the resistance of the injector which should be around 1 ohm. The tan wire goes to pin 5 and the white wire goes to pin 7 of the 10-way plug at the power module.
