Chrysler Repair: black foam coming from vent, high temperatures, ac unit

There's black foam coming out of the vents of my 02 stratus. Do you have an idea of what that might be?

Hi Vito,
It is probably insulation lining the inside of the air handling pipes or on the air distribution doors inside the heater/ac unit.
I wouldn't know what to make of it unless there is an indication that unusally high temperatures are being generated internally in the box. It may just be the normal wear and tear. I have received no similar questions.
