Chrysler Repair: 1990 Chrysler new yorker V6 3.3L digital dash, windsor ontario canada, chrysler new yorker

Question
Hi,

Recently I bought a 1990 new yorker fifth avenue V6 3.3L. It starts en runs fine, but now the problem. My digital cluster is not working I have done everything. And there is nobody to ask because I'm living in Surinam and stuff for cars like this are very expensive here. The idiot lights are working fine, but my display is not lighting up it doesn't do anything.

I'm measuring some voltage on my cluster but I'm not sure if it is correct.
So is there anybody there who can help me with a pinout diagram or an wiring diagram it would be a great help.

Answer
Hi Jason,
There should always be 12V on pin 2 which comes from fuse 12. Pin 11 should show 12V when the switch is in the run position, coming from fuse 8. Pin 7 is the ground lead to the center lower panel reinforcement under the dash. Other pins would be digital data or special lamps unrelated to the overall function.

PS If the voltages check out then I would take a look at the circuit board to notice if any of the electrolytic capacitors show signs of leaking fluid by signs of discoloration on the board. If so, you could replace any of those. If you can't get electrolytics let me know. All you need is a soldering pencil to do it.
