Chrysler Repair: 2002 2.7 timing chain, cam shaft, funning

would the engin run if the chain was out one tooth on one bank only? my 2.7 runs but seems to be missing, right bank makes big diff. when each coil is unpluged, left bank makes a smll diff. when coil is unpluged!!! Thanks....Doug

Hi Doug,
It could be. Have you looked at the timing marks on the cam shaft sprockets? You would have to remove the cylinder head covers to do that, which is something that you would want the instructions to do. I can xerox copy and mail you the pages that show how to do that. It also could be a wiring issue to the fuel injectors on the right side. Did you check that? There should be 12v on the dark green/light green wire at each injector when the engine is funning.
