Answer
Hi Wes,
I assume you have the 2.7L engine. Check fuse 8 in the power distribution center under the hood (20A) as that is necessary to operate the starter solenoid. Then have a helper try the key while you listen/touch the starter relay in the same box to see if it clicks when the start action is attempted. If not, then check fuses 14, 23, and also try moving the gear shift slight off-center from the P or N positions. If the relay clicks, then check the connector at the starter motor where the brown wire from the center brings power to operate the starter solenoid. If that is getting 12V when the starter relay clicks, then you either have a problem with the starter motor or its solenoid switch as it should click loudly when 12V comes in on the brown wire. It if clicks loudly, then check the battery cable clamps and try a jump start. If none of that works, then I would suspect your starter motor itself. Take it in that order.
