Chrysler Repair: removing harmonic balancer on Sebring, timing belt pulley, pulley bolt

Question
I need to replace the harmonic balancer on a '97 Sebring convertible with the 2.5L V-6. When I try to pull the balancer using the OEM puller, the timing belt pulley (or a part of it?) came with the balancer and cracked the plastic cover. I pushed it back in without turning the crankshaft, but how do I pull JUST the balancer?

Answer
Hi Glenn,
I checked the manuals and find no special procedure, or even mention of a special tool for removal of the damper/balancer. It only says to remove the crank pulley bolt (use a pry rod thru a slot in the balancer against the engine to prevent rotation so as to be able remove the bolt without the crank turning) and once the bolt it out the Haynes shows it being removed by hand.
