Chrysler Repair: Rear window replacement: Sebring convertible, auto body shop, fabric panel

Question
I have a rear window on my 2000 chrysler searing that is separating from the fabric along the top edge. Can I install one myself if I bought a new rear window assembly? are there instructions or possibly a video on how to do it? any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Don,
None of my Sebring factory manuals discusses that possibility so it has to be an aftermarket sort of item or at least not a do-it-yourself. I would consult with an auto body shop locally to see what they suggest. I believe it may be the case that the only way to do it correctly is to replace the entire fabric panel which contains the window and that is best left to those who have the skills and sewing machines to do it. If that involves removing the top, then you may just have to wait and do it when you want to replace the top in its entirety.
