Chrysler Repair: 2006 T&C Limited 3.8L : Ringing noise, intake tube, hose connection

Hello Roland,
When accelerating, I have a strange ringing/whistling type noise coming from what sounds like the engine compartment of my vehicle. It is very prevalent between 40-50 mph and disappears immediately when I take my foot off of the gas pedal. I have tried listening for the noise at idle in a quiet environment but can not hear it. The vehicle runs and drives fine but this noise is very annoying to say the least. Any ideas what this may be?

Hi Rennie,
I will think about it and see if I can come up with anything. It could be simply a loose air hose connection to the throttle body for example since it is affected by whether or not you are sucking air into the engine. So check the air intake tube from the front of the van all the way to the throttle body and see what you can find along that pathway.
