Chrysler Repair: 95 concorde heat always on, chrysler concorde, diagnostic capability

Question
QUESTION: 95 Chrysler concorde, 3.3 engine
When I turn the car on, the heater fan and temp go on at high speed/high temp. and blow through the defroster. none of the heat/ac controls will change this no matter what I do.
I disconnected the heater/ac control panel thinking it might be faulty but even with the control completely disconnected, the blower and temp are on high and blowing through the defroster.
 Thanks for your help,
  Gunter

ANSWER: Hi Gunter,
If it is the auto temp control type then I suspect that the blower coming on uncontrollably is not due to the control panel but rather due to the blower motor 'power module' failing which is a solid-state electronic device mounted in the HVAC housing's internal air duct nearby to the blower. Follow the wire from the blower motor to the module to find it. Then pull the plug and unscrew two screws to take it out of the ductwork. Getting a used one out of a wreck would be the least expensive way to get one.
The hot temp of the air may be related to the power module problem so getting the blower back under control is the necessary first step.
The unit also has some self-diagnostic capability to assess the other problem. With the unit reconnected, start and idle the engine and set the temp for 75. Then press and hold simultaneously the floor, mix, and defrost buttons (1st, 2nd, and 4th in the top row). When the display begins to blink, release the buttons. The display will continue to blink and then a number between 23 and 36 will display, which is the first fault code. To see any other numbers press the panel button (the 1st on the bottom row). Then let me know what numbers came out and we'll go from there.
The fuse that powers the blower is #21 in the box behind the left end-cap of the dash (25 amp, at the very rear of the box, lower level). You could pull that fuse to stop the blower.

QUESTION: Hi,
I am unable to set any temperature because the temperature display is not lighting up. It's as if the whole control panel is disconnected.
I went to a salvage yard and plugged in a good control panel but it too, was unresponsive and the temp display did not light up.
One of the salvage employees had the same problem with her lhs and told me she replaced some kind of electronic box mounted behind the dashboard to fix the problem.I'm not sure what that box is or where it's located.
 Any idea's?,
  Thanks,

Answer
Hi Gunter,
Maybe the employee was speaking about the 'blower motor power module' whose location I described earlier, so go back and get that out of the donor car. That would deal with the blower issue. But before doing that:
The only reason for the control panel not functioning would be that fuse #6 (10 amp) in the fuse box behind the left end-cap of the dash (6th from the front, top row) is blown. That fuse should put 12V on the #5 pin (white wire) of the 8-pin plug of the controller (when the ignition switch is in the 'run' postion) and cause the display to light up.
So those would be the two things I would check. I didn't know that the temp/ac controller wasn't lighting so I didn't suggest this in my first answer.
