Chrysler Repair: Chrysler Sebring 05 timing chain replacement and cam shaft replacement, timing chain replacement, chrysler sebring

Question
Hello.  Thank you for your help in the past.  I think I have everything together right I just still need to put in a new tensioner.  Here is my question.

I set the secondary timing chains with the marks facing out and exactly on the cam timing marks with 12 pins inbetween and put in the 12 oclock position.  When I put the primary timing chain on with (with the oil and crank marks aligned)the wholes on the sprokets and cam were about and 1 1/2 off on both.  I used a breaker bar and turned both cam shafts just enought to line up with the holes on the sprokets and bolted them.  I was told by another mechanic this is ok and as long as I had the cams timed right when I installed them I can forget about the timing and turn them all I want and it is ok.  My fear is while turning both cams I noticed the marks on the cams and the chain dont line up anymore.  The tensioners are installed right and the chain is right and they seem to be working right.  Is this common and OK?  I want to know for sure before I install the tensioner and start cranking the crank to make sure everything turns correct without anything hitting.  Thank you again!

Answer
Hi Chris,
What manual do you have? I am not familiar enough with this engine to offer you reliable advice on this situation. I would be glad to copy and postal mail you the pages from the Chrysler service manual if that would be of help. Just tell me a postal mailing address.
