Chrysler Repair: 99 LHS: Throttle/lack of power, intake manifold gasket, hill slope

Question
QUESTION: After messing with some wires that were jacked up from the previous owner. I started getting codes p0118 & p0123. I left the upper  throttle cover up while the engine was started & it started idling extremely high. After putting the cover back on the car doesn't want to respond to when I push on the gas. I believe the wires I was messing with was the ground wires to the TPS sensor & to the Cam Sensor. What can I do to get it back to normal? When may have happened to why the engine won't respond to the gas pedal as it should?

ANSWER: I am responding just to clear this question from the 'pool' as it has been answered.

QUESTION: I am responding here because it won't allow me to continue on the other thread... But I just got done replacing the intake manifold gasket, & eliminated all leaks. It responds a little better now, but when I can get the car to stay cranked it idles at around 500 rpm. When I put the car in reverse the car gets no power & wont move at all I don't want to put it in drive to see if it'll move because I'm on a down hill slope & don't want to have to push the car back up if it doesn't move much. I didn't have a transmission problem before all this so I know its not that. The car has no power from what I am experiencing.

Answer
Hi Marvin,
All I can suggest is that you disconnect the battery for a minute to erase any stale codes, then start it and try to accelerate it, and then try for another fault code readout. Maybe a new or possibly a renewal of an old code will give you a clue as to why it is behaving as it is now. Ignore a new 1684 code which will be the result of disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Let me know of any new codes.
Have you checked out the continuity of the TPS wires you have suspected of being bad? The violet/white goes to pin 61, the orange/dark blue to pin 35, and the black/light blue to pin 26, all at the PCM.  .
