Chrysler Repair: 1995 chrysler concorde atc controls, 1995 chrysler concorde, crankshaft sensor

Question
QUESTION: I asked a question that my atc controls were not working for a few weeks.I had also changed my camshaft and crankshaft sensor recently.i had no displays on my digital atc controls so i couldnt get a code. The a/c would blow out the defrost vents.I replaced the atc contol head.and it worked for a few hours then quit and hasnt worked.a few minutes ago I started the car and the atc worked i ran a code check and the code 36 came up.Then I noticed the manual that came with the car said if the battery has been recently disconnected the atc had to be recalibrated,I did that and ran for code check again and I had no code come up,ran several times and still no code. The controls are working again, any answer as to why?

ANSWER: Hi Dave,
Please tell me what you mean by "quit". If I read you correctly the ATC is working now. The disconnection of the battery will erase the old codes and also probably lose the calibration of the unit. So doing the recalibration and the looking for codes, assuming the calibraition was successful, then I would anticipate there would be no new/old codes at this time. If/when it malfunctions again, try the code check, tell me any codes amd what specifically is wrong and we'll go from there.

QUESTION: Yes,the atc is working now,but before i had recalibrated the system I got a 36 code. Before the the controls or the display did not work for 2 weeks now.But for some reason  I went out this morning started the car up and the atc controls worked, ran a code check, the code 36 came up.Did a recalibration on the system ran for codes again and no codes came up.Strange huh?

Answer
The code 36 is listed as 'ATC head communication failure', but I don't have the '95 wiring or body manual that might tell us more. Next time you get a 36 try pressing on the "panel" button (left hand end, lower row of buttons) which may bring to view other code number if any are stored. Without the manuals and probably an interface with a Chryslef DRB II code reader this   issue is probably not resolveable. If it works, I wouldn't mess with it.

PS: Another possibility came to mind about the control quitting.
I would begin by checking (or replacing) fuse #6 (10 amp, top row, 6th from the front of the box) in the fuse box located behind the left end cap of the dash. It could have a subtle crack in its wire that causes it to 'open' on its own when it gets warm from being in use, and then closes when it cools down. Aside from that we would need to consider whether the control panel itself may be suffering some sort of internal power failure. But start by looking very closely at the fuse, or simply replace it.
