Chrysler Repair: how to open hood: voyager 97, hood latch, radiators

Question
QUESTION: How i can open the hood of a voyager 97, the wire to pull it is broken.

ANSWER: If you look up from under the vehicle, behind the bumper and in front of the radiator, you will see the hood latch mechanism. There is a lever that is facing forward that if you will push it toward the driver side of the vehicle that will release the latch mechanism. The new cable should be attached to the lever. You will need to replace the cable which I can describe for you once you get it open.

QUESTION: Dear Roland.

All the space is full with the 2 radiators the a/c and the water is not space for anything, other idea?

ANSWER: You could try looking through the grill opening, up at an angle to where the latch is, or look on the other side of the radiators. You may need a flashlight and a long stick/rod to get to it.
Might the bumper's plastic fascia be blocking your view of it?

QUESTION: Dear Roland:

Thank you very much for your suggestions, to help some one else, the only way to open the hood was to unscrew the 2 screws located on the latch, if you see the latch from the front there are 2 screws, you need an extension bar the ratchet and the socket. Have a nice day. Sergio

Answer
Thank you very much for the that information Sergio, I will share it with others!
However I do have to ask you when you say "the 2 screws located on the latch" do you mean those that attach the entire latch mechanism to the radiator panel OR do you mean the screws that attach the "saftey catch" (that is attached to the underside of the hood)? I assume you mean the "catch" because it has 2 screws (bolts) that hold it to the hood and they appear to be accessible from under the vehicle, whereas the bolts that hold the latch mechanism are either 2 or 4 in number (depending upon which year) and they in any case do not appear to be accessible from underneath. Please clarify you information.
