QuestionI'm having issues with my car jumping into 2nd gear on its own. I've heard it's called limp mode. I've had the codes read, and the most common fault is P0765 or something of that nature.
There's a shop that'll diagnose it for $140, but I haven't the cash to do it anytime soon, on top of the overall repair. From what I've read, heard and been told by this shop, that the problem sounds like a malfunction in the Shift Solenoid D.
I've done some research and see that the shift solenoid pack can be changed. Do you think this would fix the issue?

Yes, most likely it is a solenoid pack issue, but just in case you could check the continuity of the wire between the solenoid pack pin 5 to the tcm pin 59 to be sure that isn't the problem. Other than that it has to be solenoid or lastly the TCM itself.
