How do you change a fuel pump on a 1997 chrysler lhs. im a female and am going to do this myself, please help

Hi Brandy,
The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. Fortunately you don't have to remove the fuel tank to get to it because there is an access plate under the rug in the trunk which when removed will reveal the top of the fuel tank where you then can disconnect the wires and fuel lines and then release the lock ring that holds the pump onto the top of the tank. There are however so many details that I can't type it all in and also there are some illustrations that help visualize the job. I can xerox copy and postal mail to you the pages from the Haynes manual (#25025) so that you can have all the info. Just tell me a postal mailing address.
