Nissan Repair: transmission sensors, vehicle speed sensor, reverse light switch

Question
QUESTION: i have a nissan pulsar n14 1993 manual i am trying to replace two sensor on my gear box they look like nuts from the out side with plastic ends that changes in to two wires that plugs in to the wiring harness

ANSWER: Hi Cameron -

After unplugging the wires, they can be removed with a normal open end wrench. If there is no clearance, use a deep socket.

Be careful not to damage the wires, as sensors work on micro volts and very sensitive.

Hope this helps -

QUESTION: thanks that will help heap i also would like two know what the two sensor are i pretty sure one is a reverse light sensor but i am unsure of the other

Answer
Hi Cameron -

You are correct. One is a reverse light switch, and the other I believe is the neutral safet switch (This one allows the car to start in only Park or Neutral).

It could also be a vehicle speed sensor, but being a 1993, I don't think that model was out with that yet.

Hope this helps -
