Chrysler Repair: 2009 Dodge Caravan Cabin Filter, dodge caravan, cabin filter


Question
I've heard the cabin filter is behind the glove box that will have to be removed.
Can you please give me advice on how to drop or remove the glove box to
gain access?  Thank you

Answer
1. Remove the lower glove box bin from the instrument panel (refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/BIN-GLOVE BOX - REMOVAL).
2. Disengage the two retaining tabs (1) that secure the particulate air filter cover (2) to the passenger side of the HVAC air distribution housing (3) and remove the cover.



 
3. Remove the particulate air filter (1) from the air distribution housing (2) by pulling the filter element straight out of the housing.


REMOVAL


UPPER GLOVE BOX
1. Remove the instrument panel center bezel. (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/BEZEL, Instrument Panel - Removal) .
2. Remove the instrument panel end cap.
3. Remove fasteners from the upper glove box.
4. Carefully pry out the upper glove box disengaging the spring clips.


LOWER GLOVE BOX
1. Open lower glove box door.
2. While pressing on both sides of the door pull the door down until stops are disengaged from the lower IP panel.
3. Carefully disengage the bottom hinges and remove the door.
