Chrysler Repair: Chrysler Voyager poor gas kilometerage, obd ii reader, 4 digit numbers

QUESTION: hi roland , my voyager 99 is consuming alot of petrol around 4 km per litr , any advice on how to fix it , ps i have another car to use spare parts  so no prblm with parts . thank u  u ve been alawys a great help

ANSWER: Hi Musa,
Try to get any fault codes: 'on-off-on-off-on and leave on', using your ignition key and doing that in 5 seconds or less. Watch the odometer window to see the kilometer reading change to show 4-digit numbers. Then tell me what they are and we'll go on from there. Any codes may be relevant. Also check your wheels after having driven a good distance to see if any are hot to the touch as that might indicate a dragging brake. Tire pressure too low will also cause some loss.

QUESTION: hi roland i coudnt get anycode off the car by switching on off ,tyrs pressure good, no drgging tyres as far i think,is the options left too many?

Hi Musa,
Are you sure that the readout actually occured? If not, try a plug-in code reader. There is a socket under the dash next to the steering column for that. You need an OBD-II reader.  That is about the only practical way to move ahead on this problem
