Chrysler Repair: battery changing in a 2000 chrysler concorde, negative battery cable, chrysler concorde

Question
how do you change the battery in a 2000 chrysler concorde, could you give me complete step by step instructions as well as required tools for the job

Answer
Hi Anthony,
Here it is from the '98 manual which no doubt applies to your car:
Turn steering wheel all the way to the right
Verify ignition switch and all accessories are off.
Disconnect and isolate electrically (wrap in plastic) the negative battery cable "remote" terminal from the remote battery post on the strut tower.
Remove air cleaner housing
Remove battery splash shield
Remove two short battery hold down bolts
Slide battery rearward to disconnect the negative and positive battey terminals from the battery
Slide bettery toward rear of vehicle and lift out through wheel well opening
Installation is the reverse.
I hope this is sufficient for your needs.

As I haven't done this myself I am giving you all the instructions that I can find in the '98 and '04 manuals which appear to be identical so they should cover your '00. Sorry to not have any more details for you about tools, but I wouldn't believe you would need anything more than some metric wrenches.
