Chrysler Repair: lebaron wont start, exhaust gas recirculation valve, exhaust gas recirculation

Question
Hi,
I am having problems with my 1994 lebaron convertible. It had been stalling and dying when I would slow for corners or at stop lights but now it wont even start. It has happen before and I let it sit for 3 or 4 days and then it just started this has not been the case so far. I tried cleaning the throttle body and I also read the fault codes and it came up end of readout. The starter and the alternator have recently been replaced. Do you have any other suggestions as to what might be the problem?

Answer
Hi Kate,
Yes, I believe that you would do well to check the exhaust gas recirculation valve which may be stuck slightly ajar which cause a too lean mixture to idle and even to start. You didn't sau which engine you have so I can't describe where it is to you without knowing that. So send me a follow-up with that information and I will get back to you this evening with the details. In my experience such dieing and hard starting with no codes points to a misture issue and the egr isd often the cause.
