Chrysler Repair: 1998 Concorde: blower motor wont run, hairline crack, blower fan

Question
I've read your answer to the blower fan running on high question.  I have a 1998 Concorde, and it ran on high for quite a while and has now quit all together.  What do I need to do now?  Appreciate any help you can give me.

The race for "expert of the month" is going down to the wire.
Chrysler "repairer" vs Microsoft "coder".

Hi Hulan,
Check fuse #23 (30 amp) behind the left endcap of the dash board to see if it is blown or has a hairline crack in the wire. It is is ok, then either the motor is gone or the speed control switch has failed. To test the motor, go to the resistor block, which you will want to replace anyway, and jump a wire from the black/tan wire on pin 1 of the plug to any shiny metal structural element near by, with the key in the 'run' and after assuring yourself that fuse 23 is conducting electricity. If the blower doesn't respond to that ground jump from pin 1 then I would believe that the blower motor also has to be replaced. If it does respond then the control switch has burned out.

PS: May I ask a favor? If you would 'rate' my answer and particularly give me a nomination to be 'expert of the month' (by entering 'yes' where you see the question), I would be most appreciative. I hope to the the December 'expert'. Thanks
