Chrysler Repair: cam caps ID: 2.4L DOHC, chrysler pt cruiser, hi bob

Question
Hi Kevin,
Doing my first engine rebuild on a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4 DOHC non-turbo and forgot to make the camshaft caps when I removed them. I see there are different marking on them (3.8, 3.6 3.3, 3.16, etc) and I assume they need to back where they came from.  Is there anywhere I can fins a diagram on their correct position or am I in bg trouble.
Thanks,
Bob

Answer
Hi Bob,
The latest manual I have is for '05 and it is consistent with earlier manuals in showing that the bearing caps are numbered R1-R6 and L1-L6 for right and left cam and front to rear cap, respectively. If those designations are not shown on the caps then I would go to a dealer parts counter and see what their parts manual shows for ID'ing the bearing caps.
Let me know if you need any other details.
Roland
PS:Sorry for the delay but I just found your question in the 'pool' to which Kevin had referred it, which means basically to me. Please 'rate' my answer and consider a nomination of me to be 'exper of the month'. Thanks
