Chrysler Repair: 1999 300M SKIM key cylinder, key cylinder, engine computer

My daughter lost her key to her car.. Now the dealership wants almost 150. for a key..She is a single mother..anyway..Can we bypass or can we put another ignition in with a different key?HELP..Her Father and I have been running her and my granddaughter around and she needs her car. !!

nope there is not a cheap way around it   its an alarm system  its designed to keep the car from starting when being stolen. It would not be practical if u could just replace a simple part and get the car started what would the point of it being in the car ne way?
Get the key cut and programed    the other option would be to replace the engine computer  and that is about 700 plus programing plus removal of the skim module.
