Chrysler Repair: Changing Driver Side Headlight Bulb: 2004 Chrysler 300m, high intensity discharge, 2004 chrysler 300m

Question
QUESTION: Did everything you stated, but I am unable to remove the lightbulb which is attached to the headlight by a black connector. How do I remove this.  Turning, squeezing it does not move.

ANSWER: Hi Pullen,
This is the '99 minivan that you asked Kevin about on 10/17 correct? I believe you start by removing the electrical connector at the bulb (gently lift locking tab on side of connector to allow the connector to simply pull off the end of the bulb). Then the retaining ring that was hidded behind the connector should be rotated counter clockwise and that will release the bulb to come out of the the headlamp housing. I hope this does the trick for you.

QUESTION: No sorry Roland.  This is for a 2004 Chrysler 300m

Answer
The '04 manual for the Halogen bulb shows that there is a retaining ring at the rear of the housing which if rotated counter-clockwise will release the bulb and connector, then the bulb and its electrical connector are separated. When installing the bulb, don't get finger print on the glass.
The only other possibility is a high intensity discharge type of bulb but that is used only on the 300 special model that has a separate ballast assembly. Is that the one you have?
