Chrysler Repair: 97 Sebring heater lines, water hoses, ring seals

Question
I have a leakingg heater line near the distributor cap. How does the line come off the tube comming out of the engine?

Answer
Hi Rick,
The two heater pipes appear to attach to the large manifold (that contains the thermostat and filler cap) by means of o-ring seals and clamps (although those clamps aren't shown in the diagram of the manual). You may have a leaky o-ring.  The manual suggests removing the battery to deal with the connections to the manifold if it is in your way.
When installing a new o-ring coat the surface with water or coolant, and take care to not fold or scratch the surface of the o-ring. If you remove any of the large water hoses, mark the hose and the clamp so as to reassemble them in the origial relationship (match mark them). On the large metal fittings notice the projections which is the point to push the hose up to.
