Chrysler Repair: 93 Concorde: ignition switch replacement, lock cylinder, glow light

Question
17 is supplied, 18,19,and 20 are not.
Also my glow light is lit at all times now, even without key.
Should I replace the ignition switch?
If so, do you have any advice for the job?

Answer
Hi Justin,
You are correct, #17 is on a different section of the ignition switch from that which supplies the fuses that are 'cold', my error. If you have verified that fuse A in the power distribution box under the hood is working (it should show voltage) and therefor sending current to the ignition switch, then that means the switch section that should supply the fuses itself is your problem. To remove the switch: disconnect the battery, remove tilt lever screw and remove tilt lever, remove shrouds from steering column(screws on underside), remove multi-function switch, remove electrical connector from ignition switch, remove its mounting secrews. Notice that there are two items to align the new switch: there is a tab on the switch that aligns with a notch in the lock cylinder housing and that the shaft on the cylinder has to align with a slot in the switch (turn lock cylinder using key to align). Reverse the removal process to complete the installation.
