QUESTION: please
1996 concorde lx 3.5 no spark

replaced the cam sensor as the scan tool came up with 54
2 o2 sensors and cts

after replace the cam sensor all codes dissapeared, no spark

noid light on injectors pulses 3 times
ECU/PCM/COMPUTER
pins 44 9 volts
pin 46 118 volts
pin 47 great ground
( all grounds cleaned and chequed and rechequed re cleaned )
pin 50 great grnd
pin 67 11.8 pos volts
pin 32 .2 to 5 volts cranking 4.99 not crtanking
pin 33 2.5 to 5 volts cranking 5.1 not cranking
pin 41 5 volts pos
pin 44 9.11 volts

TCM

great grounds
pin 16 11 volts pos
pin 17 11 volts pos
pin 56 5 volts pos
pin 15 9 volts pos
pin 8 .21 pos volts
pin 11 7.87 vols pos

asd and fuel pump relays click when ign on and run

atx realy pin 30 11.87 volts pos
pin 86 and 85 no volts key on

crank and cam both 9 volts power
great grounds
5 volts reference
cranking both oscillate 0-5 volts respectively
same with pin 32 and 33

2 question are these the correct values?

and am I missing some thing?????

ANSWER: Hi Steven,
While I appreciate the data, it is too much to deal with all of it. I am also a bit disadvantanged by not having a '96 manual (rather a '94 and a '98 manual) to work with. For example does the PCM have a single 60-pin plug or two 40-pin plugs? The starting point is: do the spark primary coils have 12V on one end and pulsing when cranking on the other end (between 0 and 12V)? And are the cam and crank sensor's signal wires pulsing between 0.3 and 5.0V while cranking? Please let me know the answers to those questions and we can go from there.

QUESTION: Roland,
1996 concorde 3.5 litre
Yes I am using 1996 ecm, 2 40 pin connectors
I have haynes and chiltons manuals
I have Mitchel on demand wire diagrams
I have power to the coils primary dark orange and orange
no pulsing on the red black or whit wires
9 volts at the crank and cam sensors
good grounds to them
5 volt references on both also

both pulse while cranking
noid light on every injector pulses 3 times then not

timing belt turns, but have not torn down to verify the timing marks

Answer
Hi Steven,
It appears that either the signals from the crank/cam sensor is not getting to the ecm at full pulsing voltage (O.3/5.0)(verify the signal wires are patent) or that there is an issue with the ecm not being able to pulse the black/white/red wires as required. The fact that the injectors don't pulse more than 3x also raises the possibility that if the signals from the sensors were working then is it possible that the ASD is shutting down (with drawing its 12V output to the innectors, and by the way the coil pack as well) after a couple of seconds due to flaky sensor signal pulsing (which is what it is supposed to do if there are no pulses at all) or possibly a weak ASD relay? Have you watched orange/dark orange wire at the coil pack to see if it drops away after a couple of seconds too? One way to get some more info would be to hot wire the ASD relay socket so you would know there is 12v on the coil pack and injectors (but only as a test as this is otherwise unsafe to do when on the road). Just jump from the front pin to the rear pin and then see if it will start and run.
