Question
Mr. Rolant I e mail you yesterday with the 94 chrysler new yorker no start  present injector pulse, spark all 6 cilinders, timing marks, compression, gas pressure, you ask me to ckeck for codes. I came up with 12 and 14 when I spray gas in to intake maniful then it stars like if injectors were pluged. any gel please

Answer
Hi Gerardo,
The code 14 means the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor's voltage in not in the range that it is supposed to be. That means the sensor has gone bad or the wiring to the sensor is damaged. So check the wiring and if it appears OK then replace the sensor. It is located on the driver's side of the intake manifold and has wire colors: black/light blue (to pin 4), dark green/red (to pin 1), violet/white (to pin 6 of the computer plug).
The fact that it will run if you spray gas in agrees with the code that the MAP is malfunctioning because it is the MAP that controls the mixture of gas/air. So it is probably telling the injectors the wrong amount of fuel to use.
The 12 code just means the battery was disconnected recently and is not important unless that is not true.
