Chrysler Repair: VIN For Tire Pressure Light On--But I Dont Have That Feature!, 2005 dodge durango, dodge durango

QUESTION: Not sure if you received my answer to your request for the last 8 digits of my 2005 Dodge Durango's VIN (so I'm sending it again here as a new question)--it's 5F604023.

Since I sent my original question, I also had a chance to check my owner's manual--and not only is there no listing in the index for the automatic tire pressure feature, and the manual's section on tire pressure makes no mention of it, but the diagram the manual contains of the car's instrument cluster fails to include that light. So I guess that answers my question--right?


ANSWER: yes looked it up and U dont have that feature  what was done at the dealer inorder to turn this on?

QUESTION: I actually just went back to the dealer today and after again checking my car (and available records) they now claim that my original dealer back in 2007 replaced my instrument cluster with the wrong one (and thus the reason it now has a tire pressure light--which they claim it originally didn't). Since that dealer is now out of business, they say they're checking with Chrysler to see if they'll cover putting the right one back in and will let me know the outcome. But, to tell the truth, I'm not sure I can believe them--and I will check my records this weekend to see if that instrument cluster replacement ever occurred as they claim. In any event, they also say now that the light has come on, there's no way they can turn it off. Does all this sound reasonable to you? And does it sound like they know what they're doing? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

yeah I will go with that  the place we get the clusters and such from some times have a hard time with quality control. I had a cluster 3 weeks ago I  had to go though 4 b4 they got me the right one with the right software in it.  It was a 06 1500  and when u press on the 4X4 switch  the low coolant light would come on  and the over drive light would come on when u pressed the cruise control switch. The other ones the door locks did not work  so yeah I can believe it. What did they do a few weeks ago that made it turn on?
