Chrysler Repair: fix power seat on chrysler 300 (2005 yr), chrysler 300, power seat

My passenger power seat on my Chrysler 300 (2005 model) won't go back. I push the button to move it back and nothing happens, but I hear a hamming sound. I have check under the seat to see if something is stuck or holding it the seat. Please help me fix my seat.

Hi Rodney,
It sounds like there is a foreign object stuck in the track. The best I can suggest is to remove the seat and examine the mechanism. There are bolts at the rear and the front of the tracks that must be removed, and the electrical connector to the power motors disconnected. Once you have the floor bolts removed you may want to disconnect the - post of the battery for electrical safety reasons and to avoid setting off the air bag. Once the seat is out you might be able to examine the track to see what is wrong. If you want to know what wires to jump 12V to to make it move let me know.
