Chrysler Repair: camshaft senser: 3.5L 03, upper intake manifold, wire colors

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2003 concorde and the camshaft senser is acting up. The car will just shut off while driving. I would like to know where it is on the engine so that I can get it replaced, can you help me?

ANSWER: The cam sensor is usually mounted in the front cover of the timing belt area of the engine (3.5L) or the front of the head (2.7L), usually on the driver side so as to look at the cam sprocket there. Let me know if you don't find it, and tell me which engine you have as there are those 2 possibilities. It has three wires:gray/black, black/light blue. and violet/white.

QUESTION: I have a 3.5 V6.

Answer
Yes,
Look on the front of the engine, driver's side, screwed into the front cover as described. It is  sitting just underneath the rectangular duct (symmetrical/wing shaped) which is part of the upper intake manifold, and just above the round cast cover of the driver side camshaft sprocket (sprocket is directly behind that round cover) and the sensor is inserted through so as to 'look' at the camshaft sprocket. Look for any such device and then check for a three-wire plug with the wire colors I described.
