Chrysler Repair: Chrysler Cirrus lxi: service manual, chrysler cirrus lxi, chrysler cirrus

Question
Mr. Finston,
I have a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus lxi (6 cylinder) and I'd like to know what kind of repair manual you would suggest for this vehicle. As the car gets older, more stuff is going wrong and while I can do some stuff, I need more help than I have a right to ask you for. Right now I need to replace the power window motors on both passenger side windows. Any advice would be appreciated. I also need to replace the rear drivers side door actuator.
Thanks,
John Burleson

Answer
Hi John,
The best 'mass' manual is the Haynes #25015 but it is not as detailed as the Chrysler Corporate manual. That one you might find used on eBay: "'99 chrysler cirrus service manual" would be the search. Beware the commercial firms that overcharge for 'Buy it now' option, instead look for an actual auction where the opening bid might be around $10 and then bid smartly. It may take a few weeks before a good deal shows up. I would say $25 or less including shipping would be right.
Because you need the description of both types of door panel removal and the window motor replacement, the best approach would be for me to xerox copy and mail you 5 pages that give the details taken from the '99 corporate service manual. If you will give me a postal mailing address I will do that. If you would send me back a couple of 42-cent stamps after you get them that would cover my costs.
