Question
i have a 2002 dodge neon automatic transmission fluid getting into the coolant .replaced the radiator worked for 4 months now it happened again coolant isnt getting in the transmission.is it possible the transmission is overpressurised.what else can cause this.pour transmission fluid in out the reservoir it comes.can you help me?

Answer
Hi David,
Other than a leak between the trans cooler circuit and the radiator circuit that is happening inside the radiator, the only other possibility may have something to do with the trans fluid hoses that attach the trans cooler to the transmission. The manual says that the rolled-grove type fittings where the connect can damage the inner wall of these hoses and so you might experience leakage if you don't replace the hoses. However that sort of leakage should be of an external type (dripping down on the ground) not internal between the radiator coolant and the trans fluid, so that is not likely the cause of this problem.
I don't understand what you mean by 'pour transmission fluid in out the reservoir it comes'. Where are you pouring the transfluid in and which reservoir is it coming out of?
Are you certain it is transfluid and not engine oil that is involved? The engine oil and coolant can also mix in the case of an internal head gasket leak of the engine.
Otherwise, you may just have to replace the radiator again. It should be under warranty still. The pressure in the transmission fluid is lower than the pressure in the cooling system so I can't see how that could cause a leak.
