Chrysler Repair: 2004 Chrysler T&C: soft brakes after new pads/rotors., brake pads and rotors, calipers

I just changed front brake pads and rotors. Now I have to pump brake pedal every time,otherwise pedal will go to the floor. (I did not open hyd. system) HELP

Hi Mark,
I would take a look at the calipers to see if you might now have a leak around one of the pistons due to the reposition that is required when you install the pads. It is also possible that air was introduced into the system in the repositioning of the pistons so if you don't find a leak then I would blead the calipers. Finally there may be some edges on the pads that are wearing off which would produce a symptom as you describe until they are flat, but that is an outside possibility.
In any case, take of the wheels and inspect.
