Chrysler Repair: wont start after jump starting, model engine, cranks

Question
My son used my car and jumped another car. After he jumped the other car he drove to the store and shut the car off and went in the store. When he came back out my car would not start. It cranks but will not start.  I think it must have something to do with jump starting that other car but I don't know what? Any ideas? Never had any trouble before.

Answer
Hi Patricia,
It might be the battery was drained excessively by the jump start so you might check on getting it charged up with a battery charger or buy a home-size charger to have around for this purpose and re-charge it slowly that way. Is your battery near the end of its warranty?
It could be unrelated to the jump and the solution may be found by getting a fault code readout from the computer. This could be a do it yourself process but without knowing the year/model/engine I can't tell you anything about doing that. Let me know if you want more specifics.
