Chrysler Repair: Transmission Removal, chrysler sebring, sebring lx

Question
Hi Roland I have a 1996 Chrysler Sebring Lx 2.5 L engine and 4 speed auto trans.  I am in the process of removing the tranny but it will not come out.  My dad and I have removed all the bolts that we could see.  Even bolts that were in very tight places.  We took off the flywheel bolts, the trans mount, the bolts on top and bottom of tranny to engine.  If you could help me out we are clueless on this one.

Answer
Hi Josh,
I have the '95 Sebring sedan manual which just shows a couple of pages of 'exploded' drawings and lists the removal steps as one-line each but no more than that, and the '96 Cirrus/Stratus manual that show it in a more detailed approach (and which the '96 Sebring convert manual references for this part of the car). It would be too lengthy for me to type in all the steps, and you wouldn't get the figures that would also be helpful.
I can xerox copy and postal mail either or both manual's pages if you would like that. If you would be so kind as to send me back stamps to cover the cost (10 cents per side plus the postage) I will do that today. About all that jumps out is the step of supporting the engine with a device that spans across the top of the engine compartment and of course supporting the tran with a floor jack as you try to separate the two. So let me know which body Sebring you have there and give me a postal mailing address to which I should mail the pages.
Roland
PS The Haynes manual for the Cirrus/Stratus '95-'00 (#25015) shows the 39 steps for removal. That might be available at a parts store or your local library.
